It's been too long since I shared anything! Four years!!!! Oh how time escapes us! I enjoy journaling, blogging, documenting the accounts of my life in a story; yet, I rarely make time for this peaceful activity. We have a very entertaining life and there is always something happening, so much so that I feel like I don't have enough time. But that all stops today...partially because I recently put in my two weeks for Oshea's. I have been bartending there since the new location reopened in December 2013.
So much has happened in the past four years that I won't possibly be able to share it all today or probably ever, hahaha. But I can say that I am going to make a valiant effort to begin to document the newest journey at hand.
We are moving to St. Thomas USVI! Relocating from the "Fabulous Las Vegas" to a small island in the caribbean. That is why I am quitting my job. It seems crazy to some, exciting for others, and just darn right scary for me. Well.....now that I officially informed my employer that I am taking a leap of faith for my husband's newest endeavor the excitement is beginning to surround me! Initially, I was going to ask for a 6 month Leave of Absence, but to get it approved I would have to jeopardize my integrity by creating a believable lie. When I started to evaluate this and my overall feelings about bartending at Oshea's I began to realize that I have been begging for a change. I haven't been happy working, not the money, not my schedule, not anything but my insurance. Don't get me wrong I love O'sheas and the people I work with; they are like family to me, but I have been feeling a pull for something new, something bigger, greater and more rewarding. Resigning was exactly what I needed to do. I need to take this leap of faith for my husband, Jacob, and my two children. I can't expect God to do great things if I am holding on to what's comfortable. So we are going ALL IN!!!

THE END...
...of Homeschool, or is it???
We teach or children all day everyday, so even though my children embarked on a new journey of independence through public school today we will still homeschool. It'll just be different now:) I have been nervous all day wondering how everything went. Joie went into 7th grade and Jayden 2nd. I am more anxious about how Joie's day is going. She doesn't deal well with change and can be extra emotional and sensitive when change is in the air. I prayed multiple times today asking the Lord to give her courage and strength, whereas before I was praying for protection. I am sure they will enjoy school very much as both of my children are little social butterflies. Only 1 more hour and I will hear all about Joie's day. EEEEEeeeeee! Even though I was resisting public school I am eager to see the outcome. I pray she doesn't hate it. I want her to be able to appreciate public and homeschool, not liking one more than the other. I will keep you posted with their comments of "BACK TO SCHOOL"
-Never give up on positively influencing your children's lives: even if it's indirectly. They naturally love you and want to be like you:)

Our new Yukon
We bought our semi-new truck!!! This truck was absolutely meant to be ours! On our first day of shopping we found a beautiful SUV, but it was a 2005 when we were looking for a car 2006 or newer. It had low mileage but because it was an 05 our financing wouldn't take it so we had to continue looking. For 3 weeks we searched high and low for a truck fitting all sorts of parameters and couldn't find anything we really felt was right. Luckily, we when went back to the dealership and our car was still waiting for us. We LOVE it!!!!
Five50 : Aria, Las Vegas
Pizza Bar at ARIA Resort and Casino!!!
This is where I am bartending! We opened July 4th and have been jamming ever since. Not only do we have great pizza; we also have some amazing appetizers, salads, pasta, and even desserts! Together Chef Shawn Mcclain and Chef Richard Camarota have put together a fantastic menu. Popular dishes include Octopus Crostini, Porchetta"pork belly", Marinated Olives, warm Ricotta, Arugula and Fennel salad(one of my faves! It's superlight and tasty), Crispy Squid, and Creamy Polenta. Our Gotham pizza a.k.a "Meat Lovers is topped with our delicious house-made sausage and the best pepperoni I've tasted. If you aren't a meat lover we have our tasty Truffle pizza. So many scrumptious choices, but only so much room in your tummy and if your not hungry, stop by to enjoy one or more ;) of our many craft beers or a glass of wine. Come visit me and the rest of the crew at
Cheers!

Best Friend
I miss my best friend. She moved away with her family at the same time mine relocated to Grand Cayman; however, she didn't move back. It hasn't been until this very moment that I realize I miss her tremendously. No one I meet is like her. And why should they be. She is a precious gem. This is a special shot out
